The goal of this program is to provide attendees with a better understanding of the modern fire ground and fire dynamics so they can train the members of their department and implement the required changes to enhance the safety and effectiveness of their departments fire ground operations.
This program includes a series of classroom lectures presented by experienced firefighters and fire officers, small scale lab demonstrations designed to provide the attendee with a better understanding of fire dynamics, fire chemistry and general fire behavior. The lab portion of the class is followed by a small-scale fire development and flow path demonstration and a series of live fire evolutions at the Long Beach Fire Academy employing door control, flow path identification and alternative methods of fire attack.
Attendees will not be required to have turnout gear or self-contained breathing apparatus to attend this class.
